Warehouse Supporter

Offene Arme is looking for someone to join our team as Warehouse Supporter. The Supporter assists the coordinators and stands in for them when required, taking on specific areas or responsibilities depending on skills, experience and needs at the time.

Assistance with accommodation costs will be provided (133 euros per month for a period of 3 months). We are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible and commit for at least 2 months, athough 3 would be ideal.

Warehouse and Distribution Coordinator 

Offene Arme is looking for a Warehouse and Distribution Coordinator (OADW) to join our team as soon as possible. Our two Distribution and Warehouse Coordinators work closely with the Field Coordinator and share responsibility for the management of the Free Shop, distributions, the warehouse supplies and for the management of volunteers and the maintaining of a safe environment for all users of the building and surrounding outdoor area. 

We provide free accommodation and an expenses allowance of 375 euros after a two week trial period.

Our current projects include:

– Working in our free shop serving refugees and asylum seekers in Chios;

– Sorting donations at the warehouse and sending supplies to other organisations;

– Undertaking distributions of necessary items outside of Vial camp;

The situation on Chios is constantly changing, so our projects may be slightly different when you come to volunteer.

Regarding volunteers, we request:

– Fluency in English;

– Flexibility to help wherever is needed;

– Ability to work in teams and ensure a safe and comfortable working space.
