When a baby is born from parents who are asylum seekers or refugees, we provide the family with a basket full of all the essential for the first days of the baby’s life. Its contents include a baby blanket, bibs, clothes, toys, hygiene products such as wet wipes, nappy cream, diapers, as well as supplies for the new mother, like sanitary pads, and underwear.
Even after leaving the Vial CCAC, families – especially those with young children – remain a vulnerable element of the population, and that’s why we keep offering them support even after they have managed to move into private accommodations.
By communicating with the families, we know which items are needed for their babies, for example diapers, baby cream, wet wipes, pacifiers, and more. After the items have been requested, we deliver them directly to their homes.
